Valentine's Day 2010

It's the Valentine mantra. Go out, eat, and have fun. It's always easier said than done. It really doesn't cover the where, and how part, and the in-between.

Valentine's Day is fast approaching and my head is starting to ache trying to come up with ideas for what to do on this day, not to mention what I would give my SO.

Yes, yes, I know you might be wondering why I'm the one doing the planning for the date since I'm a girl, but really who cares anyway? I just wanna have a good time, even if I have to plan everything myself. I can't just cross my fingers and hope that my SO will have a full blown plan to sweep me off my feet. What if he doesn't? (As is always the case..) That could be a disaster. For him of course, nothing that you should worry about, though. My idea of a good time isn't standing around in the middle of somewhere and exchanging "What do you want do?", "Where do you wanna go?" or "Where do you wanna eat?"

So I've compiled a lot of different activities that I (or you) could choose from, in the effort to have (at least) a passable day.

Road Tripping. In a car.On a motorcycle. Commute style. Go to Tagaytay or Batangas. Have a food trip. Go cycling together and have a picnic. There are a lot of farms and restaurants in the south area. They aren't any more expensive than in the north but they have the advantage of having a natural ambience.

Couples Massage. As massage establishments have been sprouting like mushrooms everywhere, it won't be hard to find one that can cater to your needs. Check what kind of services you want to avail and if they offer joint rooms. What's the point of a couple's massage if you are in different rooms? Inquire about amenities and packages and make sure to note the duration of the services you want to get. You might be surprised to find that you only spent 2 hours in there when you could've stayed for 8. And oh, make sure to book in advance.

Concert/Musicals. There are a lot of concerts, whether free or not, to choose from. It just depends on your location. Here are some you could choose from.

If you still don't have an idea what to do for Feb 14, better just stay at home and enjoy each other's company. You can cook for each other, do some serious DVD marathon- all without breaking the bank. Always remember that you don't really need to spend a lot of money in order to have a good time. It's really the company that matters. If you're wondering what I've decided to go, I'd like to watch the PyroMusical in MOA. I like concerts like the average person, but to go to a concert specifically targeted for love? I don't think I'll survive the mushiness of that! Anyway, I love watching fireworks. I just hope there aren't a whole lotta people- It's expected of course- but I can still cross my fingers.
